I’m Ashley Armitage, a chef with 14 years of experience in commercial kitchens. My journey started at 17 in Byron Bay, working in a local café. Since then, I’ve honed my skills along the Sunshine Coast and Tasmania, where I had the privilege of working with fresh ingredients like Cape Grim beef. As a father of three, my children are both my toughest critics and my greatest inspiration, pushing me to continuously evolve as a chef. Becoming a private chef allows me to explore the joy and connections food creates. I love highlighting local and native Australian ingredients in my dishes, celebrating the country’s rich culinary culture. Whether preparing a family meal or an event, my aim is to craft unforgettable dining experiences that bring people together.
