I’m Ashley Armitage, a chef with over 14 years of experience in commercial kitchens. I started cooking at 17 in a little café in Byron Bay and haven’t really looked back since. Over the years I’ve worked my way through kitchens around the Sunshine Coast and spent time cooking in Tasmania as well, learning a lot and developing my own style along the way. These days I’m also a dad to three kids, who are easily my toughest critics. Being a private chef has given me the chance to focus on what I enjoy most about cooking. Creating memorable food experiences and bringing people together around the table. I’m passionate about using great local produce and native Australian ingredients wherever I can, keeping things seasonal, simple, and full of flavour. Whether it’s a relaxed family dinner or a special event, the goal is always the same: great food, good company, and an experience people remember.
